Yes I did find a fix. You can only manually save if you use the save slots at the end of the row. Scroll all the way to the end and manually choose the slots at the end. Autosaves still do not work for me, and I am not sure how to fix, but the problem seems relatively isolated to only a few people. Hope this helps!
